Suspect injured following police chase in O’Fallon, Missouri

O'FALLON, MO (KPLR) - A suspect was injured Monday morning following a chase and confrontation with police in O'Fallon, Missouri.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, a trooper was driving along I-70 when the suspect, who was driving a stolen Toyota Highlander, sped past the patrol car on the shoulder.

The trooper chased the suspect vehicle into the Pin Oak Parc mobile home community where a confrontation ensued. The suspect was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The trooper was not injured.

Initial reports indicated the suspect had been shot, but Sgt. Al Nothum with the Missouri Highway Patrol said the suspect was bitten by a police dog.

The stolen car is white with Illinois plates.
