Watch: Teams make things right after fan steals hockey puck from little boy
PITTSBURGH, PA – On Thursday night, a little Pittsburgh Penguins fan was very excited to get a souvenir hockey puck tossed to him by Buffalo Sabres coach Dan Bylsma during a Sabres-Penguins game in Pittsburgh. But then, a man in the crowd stole it from him in mid-air, pocketing the puck and sitting back down to watch the rest of the game.
The culprit was booed by the crowd and called out by the television announcers.
A little later on, Bylsma tossed another puck to an usher to give to the boy. Then, the Penguins mascot brought the kid another gift, a Sidney Crosby Penguins sweater.
Bylsma was coaching his first game in Pittsburgh since being fired as Penguins coach after the 2013-14 season. He coached the Penguins to a 2009 Stanley Cup championship.
