Police chase leads to crash on northbound I-55 near Arsenal

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – The northbound lanes of Interstate 55 were closed Wednesday afternoon following an accident involving a dump truck and car near the Arsenal exit.

The St. Ann Police Department was engaged in a pursuit with a drug suspect, following them through south city and onto I-55. The suspect’s vehicle struck a dump truck before leaving the roadway. The dump truck overturned.

The people in the suspect’s vehicle ran off on foot, but were eventually apprehended near Potomac.

Authorities confirmed multiple injuries at the scene, but did not elaborate.
