Southwest Airlines adding flights from St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)-Southwest Airlines is about to have an even larger presence at Lambert Airport. The airline announced several new flights and destinations from St. Louis on Tuesday.

Daily non-stop service to Pittsburgh will begin in March 2016, replacing flights currently being offered by American Airlines. In April, Southwest will begin two daily flights each to Des Moines and Wichita. That same day, Southwest will begin year-round service to Seattle, WA. The airline is also adding a second daily flight to Tulsa, OK and Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN.

This month, Southwest began new service to John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California.   In January, services will be added to Little Rock.

Southwest is now the largest carrier at Lambert with nearly 90 daily departures. By April, they will have a total of 97 daily departures
