Thousands take part in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

FOREST PARK (KPLR) - Thousands hit the streets of Forest Park for the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk Saturday. An opening ceremony kicked off the fun at 8:30am, welcoming Making Strides participants and inspiring them to continue to take action and to finish the fight against breast cancer. The walks began at 9:00am.

Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society and their efforts in the community to help people with breast cancer and those working to find cures to end the disease.

FOX 2 and News 11 are proud sponsors of the event. Melanie Moon & Sandy Miller will join 106.5 The Arch’s  Van Lorenz as emcees.
