Robbery suspect arrested after car crashes, causes fire in car lot

SOUTH COUNTY, MO (KPLR) - A thief wanted for stealing from a south St. Louis County Walmart sped away from the scene overnight. Shortly after, he lost control of the car and crashed into the Quality Car Care used car lot.

The store robbery happened at Walmart located on Telegraph Road around 10:30p.m. Tuesday. The robber made his getaway on south Broadway Avenue when his car crashed into four or five other vehicles in a used car lot.

His car caught fire.

An ambulance was called for the driver who was taken into custody.
