2 suspects under arrest after cross county police chase

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KPLR) – A St. Louis County homeowner is dealing with a lot of damage after two robbery suspects took police on a car chase across St. Charles and St. Louis County on Monday afternoon. The owner says he found out about the crash after seeing Bommarito Automotive SkyFox over his home on a television at work.

According to Maryland Heights police; two male suspects robbed a check cashing store in O’Fallon Missouri at gunpoint then fled in a Chevy Impala and crashed near Creve Coeur Airport. One was quickly caught at the scene the other continued to run and committed another crime.

While at the airport a civilian stopped to help police on the scene and the second robber carjacked a white truck and took off. Speeding on interstate-70 to 141 and Olive, he eventually crashed at a home on Villa Dorado in unincorporated St. Louis County where he was taken into custody.

The home owner who`s an avid car collector says 3 of his cars were damaged and a 4th in his driveway during the crash is a total loss. His home was also hit, damaging his garage and the house exterior, but luckily no one was hurt. Police also found cash and a gun in the stolen truck. So far there's no word on who the gun belongs to. Both men are now in custody.
