ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)- Power issues caused delays for Metrolink riders Sunday morning. This on a busy Sunday in the city with the Q in the Lou barbecue festival and Rams and Cardinals games scheduled.

Around 9:00am, MetroLink trains were unable to use the 8th & Pine, Convention Center, Laclede’s Landing, and East Riverfront MetroLink Stations due to a power issue. Passengers had to be shuttled by bus causing long delays.

By 10:30am, Metro was able to operate  on a single track between the Stadium and 5th & Missouri Metrolink Stations, but Blue Line trains are not operating east of Forest Park. Westbound passengers  coming from Illinois had to board a Red Line train to get to downtown stations.

Around 12:45pm, MetroLink was running normally again with trains operating on both tracks between the Stadium and 5th & Missouri MetroLink Stations. Blue Line MetroLink trains were again running the full route between the Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44 and Fairview Heights MetroLink Stations.
