ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – St. Louis police are investigating a shooting in Carondelet Park. Investigators say 37-year-old Ronnie Carlton was leaving the park with his brother Sunday night when a man in a car drove by. Carlton thought the man was staring at his brother.

Police say Carlton approached the car, with his hand wrapped in a sweatshirt, and leaned inside the vehicle yelling obscenities.

The man shot Carlton in the chest, drove away and called the police.

He was later taken into custody.

The circuit attorney’s office is reviewing the case.
