BALTIMORE - A passenger on a recent Delta Airlines flight needed some serious leg room …because he has eight of them. On Wednesday, a tarantula was spotted in the cargo hold of a plane bound from Baltimore to Atlanta. Delta says baggage handlers noticed the tarantula, part of a shipment  of 750  rare African  tarantulas, has gotten out of its container.

Employees caught the spider, but the pilot grounded the plane overnight to make sure there weren't any other tarantulas unaccounted for.

Flight 1525 passengers were taken off the plane and were placed on a different flight a few hours later.
