Arrest made after woman’s body found in north city alley

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – A 64-year-old man is in custody in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found in a north city alley, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said Monday.

According to police, 30-year-old India Blake was found shot in the head around 9:25 a.m. in the 6000 block of Emma Street, in the Walnut Park West neighborhood.

A 33-year-old man was with Blake when she was killed. The gunman, whose name has not been released, also fired at the man, but missed.

Homicide detectives have not disclosed a motive.
