Jets football player pleads not guilty to charges related to resisting arrest
(KPLR) – New York Jets and former Mizzou football star Sheldon Richardson pleaded not guilty Monday to resisting arrest in St. Charles. On July 14, the defensive lineman allegedly resisted arrest after police say he drove 143 miles per hour in St. Charles County, with a 12 year-old in the backseat and the odor of marijuana in his vehicle.
These charges came shortly after the NFL suspended Richardson for 4 games this season for failing a drug test.
His next St. Charles court appearance is October 5th.
