Police detonate suspicious package in downtown St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – Olive Street between 18th and 20th street in downtown St. Louis has been shut down. Bomb and Arson x-rayed and detonated a suspicious package Tuesday night in front of the St. Louis city police department.

A FOX 2 crew on the scene described the package as looking like a backpack.

The bomb and arson squad says the package  was not harmful.
