Police bust dozens of people for heroin offenses

(KPLR) – Dozens of people have been charged with heroin-related offenses in Illinois.  Troopers say narcotics officers spent the past few months conducting undercover operations, charging 36 people so far. 14 are under arrest.

Officials say the U.S. Attorney`s Office is using enhanced sentences for known dealers, to send a message that heroin endangers public safety.
