EARTH CITY, MO (KPLR) – Friday marked the first day of training camp for the Rams, their 21st season in St. Louis. It is also head coach Jeff Fisher’s fourth season in charge.

Fans showed up to see the team and weigh in on the will they stay or will they go season.

Friday is the first of eight training camp sessions that will be open to the public here at Rams Park.

Next Friday at Lindenwood University, the team will hold an open scrimmage and then at the end of August, three practice sessions on the 17th, 18th and 19th. But you’ll have to travel to Oxnard, California for those sessions open to the public.

Thus the question on many a fan’s mind today was will they stay in St. Louis or go west towards California?

“You know the first day of camp it’s like Christmas for a football fan,” said Karl Sides. “We finally get to come out and hear all the stuff that’s going on with the team through the media and sports reporters in town. But this is our first tangible look at what’s going on.”

“I’m very optimistic,” said fan Victor Flores. “I mean, every year as a fan you expect the team to be great which it doesn’t matter, I’m still going to love them regardless.”

“It’s going to be a good training camp,” said Brandon Dorsey. “I think it’s going to be good year for the Rams and a big turn around and plus especially with the offense. Looking forward to that and excited to see what they’re going to do this year.”
