JENNINGS, MO (KPLR) – St. Louis County Police went door-to-door in Jennings Tuesday talking with residents about their concerns. The "Walk and Talk" initiative was implemented four years ago when the county took over police services in the community. Carl Watt is concerned about litter and speeding on Halls Ferry Road and crime. Captain Jeff Fuesting is leading the charge. He says police answers all of the residents questions and encourage them to get involved in the programs the city offers so that everyone can work together to make the community cleaner and safer.

Yolonda Fountain Henderson, Jennings Mayor was also out talking with residents. Henderson praised the plan. "I think it's a great opportunity for the police to know the residents and residents to know the police so the residents can feel safe and also the most important thing that they feel like the police department cares about our safety in Jennings."
