ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – The Martin Luther King Bridge will be closed for at least three months starting Monday, July 20,  at 9 a.m. The Illinois Department of Transportation will be replacing the steel grid deck in the middle of the bridge, making structural repairs, and repainting the bridge.

IDOT asks drivers to use the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge as an alternate route. The MLK should reopen around Thanksgiving.
