NEW MEXICO - A man in New Mexico recently chose perhaps the worst place imaginable to start a fight: right in front of a police station.

Security cameras captured the whole thing on tape.

Matt Howerton reports.

Police say the two victims in this case are in that red truck, being closely followed by Sergio Vasquez.

They say he was mad his former girlfriend, was dating a new man.

The department's surveillance video shows the woman pulling up to the station with Vasquez right behind them.

She was racing to the station to report Vasquez had a gun.

You can see Vasquez get out of his car, pull a man out of the passenger seat and start throwing punches.

With all of this happening right at their door step.

It didn't take long for officers to surround Vasquez and arrest him.

He's now charged with aggravated burglary and two counts of aggravated assault.

And while police say this is a case of a broken heart, they say everyone walked away without serious physical injuries.

Police say that the man had fired a BB gun at them.
