How screen addiction is affecting children

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) – It’s no secret that people feel an attachment to their hand held devices, but children are becoming attached as well. In 2010, a Kaiser Family Foundation study found that the average 8-year-old spends nearly eight hours a day with a variety of media.

Ned Presnall, Clayton Behavioral, joined KPLR11 to share how parents can reduce the amount time children spend looking at a screen.
