PEVELY, MO (KPLR) - A Mayor that You Paid For It actually held up in a positive light in April is now in the You Paid For It cross-hairs.

We interview Stephanie Haas right after her election as Mayor of Pevely.

The city had been slammed by chaos on the board as well as a scathing state audit.

Stephanie Haas had been fired from her clerk’s job because she was deemed too close to citizens who were opposing the Board of Aldermen at the time.

Still Pevely voters elected her Mayor this past April.

In her April interview she promised to put the past rancor behind.

But instead she's suing the city from when she was fired from the city clerks job.

Elliott Davis went back to talk to Haas on what suing the city is going to cost taxpayers.

She said she had no idea.
