Family and friends remember man struck by a pair of drivers

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – Monday night family and friends gather at the Lucky Buddha in South St. Louis to remember Bapi Gupta. Gupta was killed early Sunday morning after leaving the Broadway Oyster Bar around 2:30 am on June 28th. What followed shocked his family, friends and those who didn’t know him at all.

Bapi Gupta was struck by not one but two vehicles on Broadway. Surveillance video shows the vehicles as they approached Gupta.

Gupta clung to life for 8 days before succumbing to his injuries.

At tonight’s fundraiser to help is family, friends and relatives remembered a man who many called the life of the party.
