ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – Swedish home furnishings retailer IKEA will open its new St. Louis outlet in exactly three months, giving shoppers plenty of time to learn how to pronounce things like “kallax,” “ronnskar,” “oppland,” and “nornas.”

The 380,000 square-foot store, located at Interstate 64 and Vandeventer Avenue, will open at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30. Customers can begin lining up outside on September 28.

This will be the 41st IKEA store in America and the fourth in the Midwest.

This new IKEA will result in the creation of 300 new jobs.
