ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - St. Louis City firefighters rushed into action Sunday night as flash flooding swept through south city.

Around 9 p.m. a storm rolled through St. Louis City and firefighters responded to several spots where cars and other vehicles were trapped by flood waters. In some cases, at least 2-1/2 feet of water was on the ground.

Firefighters say multiple vehicles stopped working or stalled after traveling through high water. It’s unclear if these cars were just parked and swept away or if they were in motion.

Firefighters say there are no injuries to report.
