CHESTERFIELD, MO (KTVI)-The new eastbound Daniel Boone Missouri River Bridge on I-64 is now open to traffic.  All lanes on the new bridge opened at midnight Sunday carrying cars from St. Charles County into St. Louis County.

Construction on the new $111 million bridge began in January 2013. Next up, MoDOT will rehab the closed eastbound bridge which will reopen to westbound traffic later in 2015.

The current westbound bridge, built in the 1930s, will be demolished in early 2016.
