Rams to provide trainers to St. Louis city high school football games

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Keeping athletes safe from youth to professional levels of play, has led the NFL foundation to announce Wednesday its ‘athletic trainer’ high school grant program is expanding to meet those needs.

One-million-dollars will be provided to fund athletic trainers in NFL markets.

Locally, the Rams will provide trainers for St. Louis City high school football games.

Approximately 12, 500 new cases of spinal cord injury are reported in the U.S. each year, nine percent are related to sports.
