Silex businesses owners start clean up from flooding

SILEX, MO  (KPLR) – So far Monday, no rain has fallen in the St. Louis region, which good news for communities that have suffered flooding from the Mississippi, Missouri, Meramec Rivers, creeks and other tributaries.

But just because there’s been no rain doesn’t mean river levels are falling just yet. River crest are still to come sometime this week. This means towns in Lincoln County are still battling floodwaters in Silex, Davis and Old Monroe.

Sunday first responders had to rescue over 20 people from their homes because of flooding.

Today the focus is on saving businesses flooded over the weekend in Lincoln County.
