COLLINSVILLE, IL (KPLR) – Monday curators at the Cahokia Mounds moved an 800-year-old canoe to a new gallery exhibit. It required closing Collinsville Road, as the canoe crossed the road and went down Ramey Street to be installed.

The 22 foot long, 800-pound canoe was dug out of one solid tree trunk.
