ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - Sweet Celebrations is a nonprofit organization that gives birthday parties to children who may be homeless.  The effort stems from Beth Brockling's work with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Clubs.

Brockling started the organization in 2013.  Her inspiration started when her Little Sister Shalei became homeless on her 15th birthday.  Beth was able to find temporary housing for her and her family through community support and donations.

To Beth’s surprise, there was an overwhelming response of help along with many asking to donate to celebrate Shalei’s birthday.  Housing was accomplished and a great birthday was celebrated.

Beth and Shalei now help others in the community by giving children birthdays to remember!
