Charges filed against woman who shot at police officers

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office has issued warrants against the woman who fired at two St. Louis city police officers. 39-year-old Jennifer Morgan has been charged with assault on a law enforcement officers and armed criminal action.

The incident occurred Friday in South St. Louis at a home on Chippewa near Gravois.

Authorities say two officers were answering a disturbance call, when they encountered Morgan in home with handgun. She raised her weapon firing at the officers. One officer fired his weapon in fear for his life, hitting Morgan in the chest.

An investigation is ongoing.
