ST .LOUIS (KTVI) – There was a big celebration was held Saturday in North St. Louis, as residents gathered at the historic Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing, Missouri`s first nationally recognized underground railroad site. The gathering celebrated the 150th anniversary of the abolition of slavery and the end of the civil war.

The event featured reenactments, a five-mile bike ride, and live music.
