FERGUSON, MO (KPLR) – Ferguson leaders are considering removing or replacing the makeshift memorial for Michael Brown. The memorial is located in the middle of the street on Canfield Green. The memorial consists of stuffed animals, cards, flowers, pots and candles.

The memorial has been place since the fatal shooting of Brown last August.

City officials say the memorial is a traffic hazard.

Officials are looking at several proposals for a permanent marker for Michael Brown. One proposal that has been presented to the Brown family, is to have a Dove symbol embedded into the street.
