ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – North St. Louis children are fighting to make their neighborhood parks safe. The Old North Youth Council has been working with the city parks directors to fix the poor conditions at Strodtman and Jackson Parks. The parks department has offered to pay $75,000 for the project.

Wednesday night a group of members sat in on the board of alderman meeting to lobby Alderman Freeman Bosley from the ward where the two parks are located.

They handed over signed petitions asking him to commit to funding for the project.
