CRESTWOOD, MO (KPLR) – Tuesday evening the city council of Crestwood is schedule to meet and discuss a new plan to redevelop the now closed Crestwood Mall. The proposal calls for the mall to be turned into mixed use development that will feature residential housing, entertainment and businesses.

But the Lindbergh School District is fighting the redevelopment, saying the apartments planned for the development could bring additional students to the district. Students the district says won't be paying property taxes.

The Urban Street Group is the only developer to have submitted a proposal for the 48 acres of land.
