ST. LOUIS (KPLR) - This will be one of the last years for a robotics competition that has attracted more than 17,000 high school students to take part each year in the "First Robotics Competition", that lead to an estimated $30 million yearly economic boost.

But in 2017, St. Louis will share the event with the city of Houston and then it will leave town all together heading to Houston and Detroit in 2018.
