Variety Children’s Charity partners with Fox 2 for telethon

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)- Attention St. Louis. This is your day to make a difference. Together, we can raise $25,000 to benefit kids with disabilities in one day! This is your chance to make a difference in a child’s life and see a great benefit concert too.

Fox 2 is teaming up with Variety Children’s Charity for a special telethon Tuesday benefiting children with disabilities. The Help a Variety Kid Challenge is a 24-hour online and call center “give-a-thon” with a goal to raise $25,000 in one day.

Volunteers from Edward Jones are standing by for your donation. If you donate $65, you’ll receive a ticket to see Toni Braxton at the Peabody Opera House this Saturday night. Call 1-800-782-2222.


Shruthi and her mother Cathy Reed joined us with more.

Shruthi, 9, has Larsen Syndrome. It's a congential disorder and a heart condition. When Shruthi was first adopted from India, she couldn`t walk.  Now she can walk on her own!
