Juvenile charged with the murder of 16-year-old

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – A 15-year-old teenage has been charged with the murder of a 16-year-old in St. Louis city. Police say the suspect shot to death the teenage and stole his car and mobile phone.

Our partners at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch have reported that 15-year-old Cortez Lee has been charged with second-degree murder, first-degree robbery and two counts of armed criminal action in the fatal shooting of Zachary Al-Hamid.

Court records state that Lee fatally shot Al-Hamid on November 12th in front of a home on Cora Avenue. Lee is reported to have told police he and others robbed Al-Hamid of his car and mobile phone. The car and phone were found the next day by police.

Lee is being held on a $500,000 cash only bond.
