ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Opening day at Six Flags St. Louis did not go as planned.  The electricity went out at around 4:15pm on Friday.  People were manually escorted off of roller-coasters and other rides.  Six Flags St. Louis has a plan in place to evacuate riders if the electricity goes down.

Elizabeth Gotway, a spokesperson for Six Flags, says the problem was with an underground fault, or power line. Ameren Missouri was able to repair the issue.

Six Flags St. Louis re-opened as scheduled at 10:30am Saturday.
