ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)- Take a deep breath little one.  On Tuesday, Ginger, the baby Sumatran orangutan born at the Saint Louis Zoo in December 2014, experienced the great outdoors for the first time.

Ginger was the first orangutan born at the St. Louis Zoo in about ten years. There are only about 4,500 Sumatran orangutans left in the wild.  Their natural habitats are being replaced by palm oil plantations.
