2 Breast milk donation centers open in St. Louis area

(KPLR) - A growing trend in the U.S. is breast milk donation. Tuesday, two donation depots opened in our St. Louis area. One is in Maplewood at 'Amber Sky' on Sutton and the other is located in O'Fallon, Missouri at 'Little Flower Family Medicine' on East Pitman.

Hospitals are using breast milk to help vulnerable infants in neo-intensive-care units.

It's one of the most effective ways to nourish them, and can prevent life-threatening illnesses.

'The milk bank' serves NICUS in the Midwest.
