ST.LOUIS (KPLR) - A tandem of compact storm systems will result in 2 more rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms.  The first system will arrive 7 pm-9pm for the metro area with the focus south of the metro St. Louis region.  Locations south and west of Phelps County are under a Severe T-storm Watch until 10 pm.  T-storms will taper after midnight.  Look for sunshine for the first half of Wednesday with a mild high of 71.  Clouds increase Wednesday afternoon with a more impressive line of thunderstorms Wednesday evening-some strong to severe, followed by much cooler air Thursday.  Both cases should not be huge severe weather outbreaks, but the first bouts of the season may seem impressive and come with a few surprises.
