African Moon Moth lays eggs in TV reporter‘s ear

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Monday morning FOX 5 reporter Bob Barnard was doing a live shot at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History for the stations morning show, when a African Moon Moth landed on one his ears. The moth left behind a suprise for the reporter. Laying two eggs, which were not discovered till the live shot was over.

The moth had spent most of the live shot on the reporter’s ear, during a report on Museum Week.
