ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - Some crimes deserve special punishment. The latest one I heard about was in California. Someone passed a counterfeit $100 bill on some Girl Scouts.

The suspect pretended to buy $15 dollars worth of cookies. He handed over the phony $100 bill and left with real change of $85. He was caught on surveillance cameras, so he must not be a smart cookie.

I don`t know what the penalty for a counterfeiter is. I do think the penalty should be stepped up a notch for someone running a scam on Girl Scouts. That`s how the cookie should crumble in this case.

I`m JB and that`s The Way it Oughta Be.
