ST. CHARLES, MO (KPLR) – Marshall the Miracle Dog soaked up the sunshine outside the Wehrenberg St. Charles Stadium Theatre Sunday. The theatre showed a sneak peek of the movie inspired by the rescue dog that was shown in theaters across Missouri this weekend.

The screenings are part of a statewide effort focused on bullying prevention and the mistreatment of animals.

The movie based on the book by author Cindy Willen-Brock and was filmed here in St. Louis.

There was a long line to see the movie, and meet blues captain David Backes this afternoon. Backes was in St. Charles to support Marshall, and the Five Acres Animal Shelter.
