FERGUSON, MO (KPLR) – Ferguson residents are ready to escape the national spotlight.  Some feel they’ve had a target on their back following the death of Michael Brown and all the unrest that followed.

“It’s not just Ferguson,” said one resident.  “There are problems in other communities as well.”

The owner of the Ferguson Burger Bar has confidence in the people of Ferguson but not so much in the institutions and systems detailed by the Department of Justice Findings.

“We’ve had our ups and downs,” said Charles Davis, owner.   “I hope we can move forward.”

Other residents hope the city takes the Department of Justice findings to heart, and makes appropriate changes.
