ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)-The winter storm that brought 3” to 8” of snow to the St. Louis region is winding down. Pockets of light snow, freezing drizzle, and sleet continue to move through the area, primarily north of I-44 in Missouri and I-64 in Illinois. Areas where these bands of light precipitation move may see an additional ½” to 1” of snow or maybe a thin glaze of ice on top if the snow that has already fallen.

Temperatures rise to around freezing Sunday afternoon.

This storm comes to an end this evening and skies will begin to clear. The region enjoys a break in the weather Monday before another storm system affects the region starting late Monday night bringing the chance of spring like thunderstorms.
