CHICAGO – A variety of stars and high-profile figures were on hand in Chicago Sunday for the annual polar plunge.

They were just a few of the 4,500 people committed to diving into the icy waters of Lake Michigan.

They may be crazy, but it’s all for a good cause — they’re raising money for the Special Olympics.

Actor Vince Vaughn went into the water, as did pop star Lady Gaga, who brought her fiancé Taylor Kinney along

(Vince Vaughn/Actor) – “It’s just nice to be here and be a part of it, try to have some fun and hopefully give some opportunities to everybody.”

(Lady Gaga/Singer) – “Cold Man!”

Chicago’s polar plunge raised $1.1 million dollars for the Special Olympics — that’s the highest amount raised in the event’s history.
