ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) –  Martin L. Mathews is the co-founder of the Mathews-Dickey Boys’ and Girls’ Club. He’s a very popular, well respected man in our community who’s been helping young people for decades.

Mathews-Dickey alum Angela Lewis grew up in the club and went on to play basketball at Saint Louis University and professionally.  She has given back as a mentor all along the way. Lewis is also the city director for the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship. She wrote book, "The Game Changing Assist."

Co-founder Martin Mathew, and VP of PR and special events Bill Fronczak, say the club builds self-esteem while allowing for personal growth.  The club emphasizes the importance of becoming literate and educated citizens. The club also has an outreach resource center for troubled youth.
