ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)- A winter storm is taking aim on the St. Louis region starting Sunday night. Snow begins Sunday evening along I-70 in Missouri and spreads across the region overnight. Snow may be heavy at times overnight with lighter snow Monday before it ends from west to east Monday night.
Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for Sunday night and Monday.
Highest snow accumulations will be 5 to 9 inches along and south of Interstate 70 in both Missouri and Illinois.
