Michael Sam talks about HIV awareness in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – Former football player Michael Sam made a stop in St. Louis Saturday. Sam, who was the NFL’s first openly gay player was the keynote speaker at the “National Black HIV Aids Awareness Day” brunch at “The Engineers Club of St. Louis” in the central west end.

St. Louis city and county health department`s statistics show African-Americans account for more than 50-percent of the reported HIV and Aids cases in the region.
