SCOTTSDALE, AZ (KPHO) — An actor known for his role in the hit UPN sitcom Moesha was arrested by Maricopa County sheriff’s deputies early Super Bowl Sunday in Scottsdale and jailed on charges of driving under the influence and drug possession.

Marcus Paulk, 28, of Los Angeles County, CA, was pulled by a deputy after he said he saw him drive dangerously close to a fire truck that was stopped with its lights on, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said.

The deputy said Paulk’s vehicle came within 1 foot of hitting the side mirror of the fire truck near the intersection of Indian School Road and Drinkwater Boulevard.

Paulk also made a right turn, but turned into the inside left lane instead of the lane he was in.

Deputies said Paulk’s blood-alcohol content was 0.109 percent.

Deputies said they also found marijuana in Paulk’s pocket and that he told them he smoked pot and drank cognac before driving.

He was booked into jail on suspicion of marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia possession and driving under the influence.
